Jaime Duggan is an attorney and founder of Duggan & Associates, PLLC. Jaime’s primary legal focus is on family law related issues including divorce, child custody, adoptions and premarital agreements. Jaime began her legal career working at Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas while in law school and gained incredible insight into the everyday struggles of families in North Texas when it comes to their legal issues.
She has chosen to work in the private practice of law because she believes every person and every family has the right to effective and principled legal counsel. It is extremely important to Jaime that her clients understand the legal process and legal protections that affects their families and their daily lives. Her goal is to provide every client with caring, principled and informed legal service. As a member of the LGBTQ community, Jaime has dedicated 13+ years of her life fighting for the rights and happiness of LGBTQ individuals.
Jaime understands that not all family law issues require court intervention and cares deeply about helping families work towards an amicable resolution for their future. However, sometimes an amicable resolution outside of the courtroom cannot be reached and she does not shy away from making sure each of her clients have aggressive and unwavering legal counsel, taking advantage of every legal avenue available to them.
Jaime has been named by her peers as Texas Monthly Super Lawyer Rising Star every year since 2019. As part of Dallas’s “BIG” Campaign, Jaime was named as a city influencer by the Dallas Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and enjoys maintaining an active role in the community. She was also given the 2015 North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leader of the Year award and served on the Human Rights Campaign National Board of Directors as chair of the National Board of Governors, primarily responsible for raising funds for HRC’s Political Action Committee. The Human Rights Campaign is the nation’s largest organization working for LGBTQ equality. She served on HRC’s local leadership team in Dallas beginning in 2010. In 2015, Jaime served on Dallas’s Black Tie Dinner Board of Directors and helped to raise over one million dollars for the North Texas LGBTQ community.
